You can download the title track from the Hardy Trees CD 'The Fields Lie Sleeping Underneath' From Darren Haymans Christmas in Haworth MP3 Advent Calender Here. He is putting up two free MP3s by musicians he likes every day until Chritmas. I'll be releasing a CD by Darren next year of instrumental tunes inspired by lidos/out door pools. So stayed tuned.
The next CD on ClayPipe will be out in January, It will be a co-release with the wonderful Second Language. We are keeping the details under wraps for now as the CD will be send to their subscribers first, after that the CD will be available through their website rather than through mine. As usual copies will be limited, sign up to the Clay Pipe facebook/twitter/mailing list to hear about it first. The packaging is really elaborate on this one and of course the music is very very special.
I'm very excited about the projects I have planned for Clay Pipe, it has been an amazing first year. I've got a lot lined up for next year and I'm really looking forward to working with, and creating the best packaging I can for some really interesting artists.
Happy Christmas!

Dazed and Confused
Clay Pipe has made it into Dazed and confused magazine and I got my photo taken by Rankin. It was due to Jarvis Cockers support - he seems to like what I'm trying to do!
Just finished stapling and folding 300 booklets and a whole pile of Goccoing - fingers crossed there will be another release before Christmas.

Thalassing Is On Its Way
Thalassing is slowly coming together, the CDs are back from the manufacturer and the front has been hand printed - all that is left to do is to construct the little booklet that will make up the CD cover. If you want to reserve a copy please let me know at info@claypipemusic.co.uk - there will only be 100 copies and I think this will sell out really quick.
At about the same time as the Thalassing CD comes out the second edition CDs of the Hardy Tree's 'The Fields Lie Sleeping Underneath' will also be available - please stay tuned.

Review from Terrascope
A lovely review from Terrascope:
And now for something utterly delightful. “The Fields Lie Sleeping Underneath” is a collection of gentle, eccentric and at times child-like tunes inspired by the past and present of the London neighbourhood inhabited by Frances Castle, recording here under the name The Hardy Tree. Among the ten tracks are the tale of a tragic demise, dancing at the long gone Astoria Theatre (the Finsbury Park one and not the recently demised rock-grot palace off Oxford Street) and an affirmation that the memories of the past lie slumbering beneath today’s busy, hectic urban lifestyle. The overall sound is magical and ethereal, a bit like a dream where you are never quite able to reach the end of the journey to grasp the situation you suddenly find yourself in. If there is a bucolic and innocent charm to be derived from modern day London then Ms Castle has tapped into it. One part each of Nico, a string quartet on laudanum occasionally downing tools and playing children’s toy instruments instead and 70s kiddies’ TV programme Bagpuss, this here’s a tonic for the ears.
